Atmos

The members of the Atmos Trio are all extremely well-rounded musicians. Having been hiring
their services out to other musical projects in every conceivable musical styles for years, it
wasn't until 2004 that the Trio decided to pursue their own muse. Combining singable melodies
usually associated with "pop" music, unexpected harmonic and tonal shifts of moderns jazz
and World textures, the Atmos Trio is busy carving a unique niche for themselves. Mix these
elements with stunning solo and ensemble improvisations and the Trio will take you on a
musical journey not soon forgotten.

Over the years, it seems like the members of the Atmos Trio have played almost
everywhere for everyone.

TheLovemakers
Talk with innerviewworld.com...

Whether playing underground Oakland warehouse parties, performing to a festival
crowd of 10,000, or touring the outback of Australia, the Lovemakers’ success is
the result of a reputation and fan base built on solid and legendary bawdy, flawless
and theatrical live performance. They are determined to overcome the barrier with
modern audience’s habit of too-cool immobility and to this day their live shows are
an anomaly of movement in today’s self-conscious live rock scene.

Famously uncoupled on the eve of recording their major label debut “Times of
Romance” on Interscope Records after a 3-year relationship, they pressed on
with an ethic fused in DIY methods, experimentation, art and fun. Lisa, a Stanford
graduate, former marine biologist and retired circus musician describes their current
relationship as “marriage, without the routine sex.” The energy of their friendship,
anger, annoyance, and inescapable passion has become a muse of limitless
resource.

Cultof
SueTodd

The exact date of the formation of Cult of Sue Todd is lost to the ages, much like the formation
of the great Mayan empire of invention of the Q-tip. With 3 albums behind the band, and fresh
from his tour of the Czech Republic, STEVEN knew there was a hole in the heart of COST, a
gaping musical void in the band's signature irreverent and sweetly neurotic punk sound. It was
time to expand the Cult of Sue Todd sound with a new duo to complement his off-kilter guitar
and madcap vocals. Fate intervened to pug said chasm with special wonder tonic of dynamic
bassist, JASON VASQUEZ and drummer JULIA COOKE.

The current incarnation/musical dream team of Steven Perry, Jason Vasquez and Julia Cooke
came together in the idyllic days of SUMMER 2006. This trio soon took up the normal Cult
mantle in a majestic musical marathon, like a sleek, muscled runner bearing the flaming torch
toward the finish line of infamy as the sun glints off his nylon short-shorts. With Jason's warm,
soulful rhythms on bass and Julia's moxie-driven drumming, the 3 were a natural fit. Indeed as
soon as the dynamic trio met, history quaked with the heady impact of their musical and spiritual chemistry.

RubberSide
Down

"OK, these guys are about 10 minutes from hitting it really big. Their sound is sophisticated and smooth with touches of sarcasm. Musically rooted in classic rock with finishing touches in ultra-modern song writing and polished production. Hey, it works."
-- Victoria Joyce, Sugarbuzz Magazine

"RubberSideDown, an upwardly mobile San Francisco band that sounds ready for arenas."
-- San Jose Mercury News

"With melodic, guitar-driven songs and insightful lyrics tinged with pain.... sensual bass lines, penetrating guitars..."
-- Metro Active

"....alt songs flavored with early Brit punk, psychedelic kicks, grindinggrooves, and yes,
scorching guitar....This is a smart, cohesive, professional rock band. .... It's a rock radio-
ready voice with an alluring rough edge.....
-- Indie-Music.com

"There's something to be said for the Real Deal.....From the first blam of the guitars, and the
hit of the drums on the opening song, 'Black Mountain Road', this band got my attention......
(lead singer and rhythm guitar player Kevin) Casey possesses that rare blend......that spells
rock star. So I stuck around. And the songs pulled me in...."

Zoe
Ellis

Was born to sing. For her, it is as natural and necessary as breathing. To the delight of her
many fans, she has just recorded her fist solo album as leader, a live recording made at
Anna’s Jazz Island in Berkeley. The original music on this CD is the result of Zoe’s five-year
collaboration with two English musicians, Chris Nicholas and Johnny "Monkey" Musgrave.
These compositions showcase both the power and emotion of her voice, and its softer, soul-
stirring side.

Currently, in addition to performances with the Zoe Ellis Group, she collaborates with her
brother, jazz saxophonist Dave Ellis, in Zadell, and lends her considerable talents to two Bay
Area a capella groups - Keith Terry’s Slammin All Body Band and SoVoSo. She particularly
enjoys SoVoSo’s work with children and happily pursues this interest with her annual participation
in Dmitri Matheny’s musical story for children, "The SnowCat." She works with the teen choir
at Glide Memorial Church in San Francisco which also nourishes her gospel roots.

These collaborations confirm the eagerness to extend her range and explore new directions
that has marked Zoe’s career. She has sung back-up vocals for such diverse bands as Phil
Lesh and Friends, and Donald Byrd. Zoe is equally at home with "house" music, witness her
recordings for Naked Music/Aquanote, which include the singles "Nowhere" and "True Love."

So
VoSo

The Bay Area's favorite soulful World/Jazz mixed quintet looks back on a career that began
for some members with Bobby McFerrin in his Voicestra. A win at the '97 Harmony Sweeps,
many memorable live performances and 5 excellent recordings brings this amazing group to
their first independent release, a remarkable "best of" collection of 13 songs. They're all favorites,
but Curtis Mayfield's "People Get Ready," the group originals "One Love," "With You," "Hurt So
Bad," "Be Of Love," "For The Forest," "Life and Love" and the complex, surprising "Dirt" are
especially sweet. Throughout we are continually reminded what a gift SoVoSó has been to us,
Then and Now!

Jessica
Johnson

April 21, 2007 marked the release of Jessica Johnson recently released her debut album
Till it Happens to You with producer and arranger Tom Tomasello collaborating with Johnson
each song has been made to fit Johnson’s unique style and voice. Till it Happens to You is a
collection of jazz standards & contemporary songs arranged with an intriguing original jazz
twist and two brand new songs "Yesterday's Rain" written by Steve Dorff, and "Broken Wings"
written by Joyce Ann Hyden, Calvin Moody Hyden and Matthew Hyden.

Jessica’s smooth deep voice captures audiences wherever she performs, with her own unique
styling and delivery. For a vocalist of only nineteen her resume reads already as a “season
veteran.”

“Jessica is definitely no cookie cutter singer; her voice is far superior to even
some of the commercial singers who are already established and, at just 19,
she is a seasoned vet on the music scene, her bright, vibrant voice reaches
all generations.”

-- Justin Langston, Sidewalks TV.

Anton
Schwartz

Anton has won over listeners and critics at high-profile jazz venues across the country,
including the Blue Note in New York, Washington D.C.'s Blues Alley and the Monterey
Jazz Festival. His frequent appearances at Yoshi's in Oakland draw sellout crowds; one
such concert was broadcast nationwide on NPR's JazzSet with Dee Dee Bridgewater in
December, 2005. Each of his four CDs has earned sterling reviews and strong airplay,
with his most recent Radiant Blue landing Top Five on the national jazz radio charts.

While his own writing earns consistently high praise, Anton remains as much at home with
the great jazz standards as he is with his own compositions.

Wayne
Wallace

They call him the doctor, but when pressed about why musicians like to hire him, he uses
another metaphor. Actually, several. "Given the right space and the right amount of time,
I can be like a good tailor who puts together a nice suit that fits you, as opposed to just an
off-the-rack job. ... The way I really like to arrange is to think in terms of layers. It's like food.

There's a layer in every bite. If you can taste that, then
I know the music's right."
